Torsion in Gravity Theory

The talk will provide a brief introduction to general relativity, emphasising its mathematical formalism. An extension to Einstein's general relativity, namely the Einstein-Cartan theory, will be presented. The last part will demonstrate the influence of torsion on equations of motion in ECT, especially the Mathisson-Papapetrou equation.
