Phase transitions in strongly interacting many-particle systems

The aim of the seminar is to explain on the one hand what is the specifics of the exploration of phases of strongly interacting matter and to describe some of the methods, models and results and on the other hand to keep the presentation general enough that some analogies to other many-particle systems may be drawn. I will discuss recent applications to matter under extreme conditions in heavy-ion collisions and in the cores of compact stars.
