Thermodynamic properties of a lattice gas using Wang-Landau sampling method. Application to oxygen adsorbed on Ni(111).

Using the Wang-Landau sampling method with a two-dimensional random walk in space of particle number and energy, I determine the density of states for two models in grand canonical ensemble. First, I study a two-dimensional lattice gas model with a nearest neighbor interaction on a square lattice. Then, I study the O/i(111) system using a lattice gas Hamiltonian with the many-body interactions between the oxygen adsorbates proposed by C. Lazo and F. J. Keil in 2009.
