Elementary particles and evolution of the Universe
W sali Rzewuskiego (in Rzewuski's hall) This is a popular lecture for physical undergraduate students and general non-expert audience on standard elementary particle model, standard cosmological model and their interrelations. We briefly discuss the characteristic scales associated with elementary particles and Universe, basic notions of standard model of unification of elementary particles and fundamental forces, first ideas of supersymmetry and basic physical principles of cosmology. Problems of dark matter and dark energy are briefly considered and links with problems of elementary particle physics are discussed.
